They're doing it for a certain type of chick. I've actually encounter them from time to time. The phrase they use (often) to describe one of these guys is, "He really takes care of himself." The body wax, manicures, etc. are part of a package that includes four or five trips a week to the gym, teeth cleaning every four months, etc. etc.

The best way to describe it is that their bodies have become their hobbies.

I can't stand listening to women call any sports...it just doesn't sound right. Now on the other hand, I absolutely LOVE watching football and screaming at the TV with the guys. Haven't met a guy yet that didn't think that was cool...but I've been a sports nut since I was a little girl.
