the great Raid was an outstanding movie. The reviewers/media do not like it because it shows our military in good light & being victorious. I want to see it again on big screen. One of the years top 10 movies IMHO

I agree with your assessment of "The Great Raid." Some critics were also squeamish about showing atrocities for fear of offending the PC crowd. Along with love and caring, cruelty is also a human attribute, which will surface in any culture given the right conditions, particularly when survival is thought to be at stake. The point is that history should not be whitewashed or we will be doomed to repeat our mistakes.
