"When were you in Korea?? My father served there and returned with "Colors" in New York City at the end."

At that time, in the 50's, women were only in support roles in the Marine Corps, freeing men for combat.
[It was the BIGGEST buildup in the Marine Corps ever -
then, or since!]

I remained at Parris Island after Boot Camp,
instructing women recruits in classroom subjects.

I always get goosebumps when I think about our Marines and others, and the .ell they went through.

I thank you for your service, our Marines and other military members needed every one of you.
