The web site is a fact and it speaks for itself," Dubie said in an interview Monday. "The election will soon be upon us. But it's still over a year away, but as an incumbent lieutenant governor it's not something that I'm making an announcement (about) anytime today."

HORRAY!!!!

I had just about given up on a Dubie candidacy. He's the only candidate (other than Gov. Jim Douglas, who won't run) with any real chance of defeating the openly Socialist Bernie Sanders.

Thanks for the ping. I've never worked for a campaign before but I might get out and do some stuff for this one.

That *is* great news. If a respectable Democrat runs (maybe former Lt. Gov. Racine, who has hinted that he will run), Dubie can win merely by getting around 40%. Dubie got over 50% in 2004, so it's certainly within reach.

I would kinda have rather him run for the House seat, I think it's more winnable.

In the end, I don't think the former Lt. Governor will run on the Dems side, and Sanders will smash him.

Hope I'm wrong though.

I don't know Dubie's whole record, but I know he's pro-gun, and I think he's pro-life. But he's probably to the left of most Republicans on environmental and labor/workplace safety issues.
