Let Them All Place Their Hand upon the US Constitution, & Swear by the Constitution--under EXTREME penalties of perjury--that they Testify Truthfully.

Let the Penalties for Perjury be EXTREMELY HARSH (10+ Years in Prison).

It is NOT NECESSARY to "SWEAR BY GOD!"

THUS, "Lying in the Name of Islam" is Moot!

If you Lie--you go to Jail--for a LONG TIME!!!

Correct, asking one to take an oath to a religion is fine in court to me but it is symbolic. You cannot enforce the word of God, only God can do that.

The court holds you to the truth regardless and if they find out you have lied you will be punished. Atheists and/or nonbelievers have been sworn in for years without a problem.

The Arabs who confide in the Qu-ran are nonbelievers of Christianity just as an Atheist here in America is.

This is exactly why the fight over religion in government is so misunderstood. Our founding fathers believed in God and that he provided us with life. They also believed that God gave them direction about how to be a good person with good moral values and some of these values we see in our laws because they're just but not because God said so.

The government serves the people of this great country to provide order, some of these laws are created to protect us, not laws that say by the hand of God these laws have been created.

God is mentioned and shown so often such as a symbolic plaque, or in the documents written by our founders, or even in Congress today Congressmen and women will say prayers, or the showing the ten commandments.

These gestures are only representations to display a moral compass to Americans that we should all strive to be good people. Even if you're not religious like me it still shows that we must all work together and that even if law and the words of God coexist such as thou shalt not kill, it is right and we all know it is right, it's common sense.
