War by proxy works, so long as policy-makers refuse to target the puppet-master. Of course this is understandable when one realizes that such targeting will engender the escalation of warfare to a much more ferocious level, and one that would cost much in terms of American lives and money. Still, at a certain point there must be either full-measures or no-measures. Half-measures accomplish little to nothing at extravagent cost.

Iran must dealt with a four to six massive air campaign. We should bomb them to the stone ages and destroy all their military and intelligence infrastructure. At the same time we must support the Iranian people to rise up against the Islamic terrorists regime of the Mullah and overthrow it.
However if we do this we should be ready for a much deeper oil crisis then the one we have now? I am afraid that many Americans are not ready.
