A cautionary essay regarding the liberal insanity that is posing as modern culture these days.

What is happening is that modern society has become increasingly vulgar, but gets upset when it is called on its vulgarity. Good quote.

LAST PARAGRAPH...(btw, why can't the whole piece be posted?)
"Conservatism is more than capitalism. It is more than a mindless libertarianism. It is also about knowing the difference between right and wrong, being able to discriminate between the good and the bad, and realizing that beauty, not vulgarity, is the physical manifestation of the numinous.
Conservatism is, in other words, the courage to say "NO."

Consumers of pop culture in the US...victims of the
"...American educational system, confused drug use, laziness and moral turpitude with revolution. I'm sure that V.I. Lenin would have laughed John Lennon off the stage of the First Internationale.
But the Rolling Stones contretemps is just one example of a phenomenon I have noticed for some time, namely, the overt courting of controversy and vulgarity by celebrities who then deny that they are being controversial or vulgar."
Hear, hear...aren't we all SICK TO DEATH of the mediocrity and vulgarity of pop culture? AND when this failed cultural expression becomes the vehicle of choice for a major political party in the free est and most advanced society on earth, it should be seen (along with said party) for what it is. The creators and purveyors of this ought to be accountable and are not held to any standard. They are not in any way responsible for themselves but instead are the true monsters of capitalism who I see as worthless and money-grubbing miscreants who will do and say ANYTHING for attention and profit....(in that racket, attention equals profit) The lack of discernment and moral ballast creates this vacuum and the vacuum is filled by garbage...you know...it will find its own lowest level.
