Thanks for the ping.
...The senior center Bush visited has since been replaced by a 27,660-square-foot Central Park Senior and Community Center built in large part with $11.6 million in state park bond grants arranged by Brulte. And, from www.rcpark.com/centralpark:The facility includes the James L. Brulte Senior Center.
...Located on the Northwest corner of Base Line and Milliken, the first phase of Central Park officially started construction October, 2003.
The initial project will include a 57,000 sq. ft. Senior/Community Center and approximately 15 acres of open space parkland located on the southeast corner of the 100 acre center park side. Phase I follows the architectural guidelines established in the 1987 Master Plan which was approved by the Task Force Commission and Council.
Through the efforts of Senator Jim Brulte, Congressman David Dreier, the City has received State and Federal funding along with a significant private donation from the Lewis Family to make this project possible.
That is the old Senior Center.THIS looks like the NEW Central Park Senior Center, right? The new one is at Central Park on Millikin north of baseline.

THIS looks like the NEW Central Park Senior Center, right?Excellent!RIGHT!!! It's a neat place for us Geezers.
Where is the MOST PHOTOGENIC place for us to assemble?
On the Northwest corner of Milliken and Baseline?Or?
We ought to gather right in front of that "Central Park" sign, eh?
Will he be bringing border patrol to arrest illegal aliens???
That would be cool.
If we meet at the corner, we chould be able to rapidly MOVE to whichever entrance that the motorcade approaches, so that the President can see us as he arrives.I will talk to the local authorities, and see what THEY would like us to do.
Lyrics: Bobby Petersen
Music: Phil Lesh
Out on the edge of the empty highway
Howling at the blood on the moon
Big diesel Mack rolling down my way
Can't hit that border too soon
Running hard out of Muskrat Flats
It was sixty days or double life
Hail at my back like a shotgun blast
High wind chimes in the night
Oh, oh, pride of Cucamonga
Oh, oh, bitter olives in the sun
Oh, oh, I had me some loving
And I done some time
Since I came down from Oregon
There's a lesson or two I've learned
By standing in the road alone
Standing watching the fires burn
The northern sky it stinks with greed
You can smell it for miles around
Good old boys in the Greystone Hotel
Sitting doing that git-on-down
Oh, oh, pride of Cucamonga
Oh, oh, silver apples in the sun
Oh, oh, I had me some loving
And I done some time
I see your silver shining town
But I know I can't go there
Your streets run deep with poisoned wine
Your doorways crawl with fear
So I think I'll drift for old where it's at
Where the weed grows green and fine
And wrap myself around a bush
Of that bright whoa, oh, Oaxaca vine
Yes it's me, I'm the pride of Cucamonga
I can see golden forests in the sun
Oh, oh, I had me some loving
And I done some time
And I done some time
And I done some time

Rumors rampant of I.E. Bush visit
Sara A. Carter, Staff Writer
San Bernardino County SunRANCHO CUCAMONGA - It's the worst-kept secret in the city.Though White House officials would not confirm if the president would be stopping by Rancho Cucamonga on Monday as was the rumor, seniors at the James T. Brulte Senior Center have their ears to the walls.
And the walls are talking.
"For heaven's sake, they can sneak him into Iraq during a war but they can't sneak him into Rancho Cucamonga,' said Maureen McCall of El Monte, who was preparing for a Jazzercise class.
Classes, including Jazzercise and yoga, have all been canceled Monday for an important event that city officials are trying to keep quiet.
"I'm sorry, we can't talk about the president's visit,' said Ryan Samples, senior center supervisor. "All questions have to be handled through the White House.'
White House officials said this week that President Bush may visit the Inland Empire next week, but his plans would not be confirmed until Friday.
In the meantime, the senior center has been buzzing. Its schedule for Monday has been cleared and former state Sen. Jim Brulte spent several hours there Wednesday.
"It wouldn't be a good idea to go around asking residents what questions they would have for the president because the event will be by invitation only,' Samples added.
Seniors filtering out into the 90-degree heat shared what they'd heard about a presidential visit, but none of them had received any invitations to a special event at the senior center.
Mary Filippelli, a boisterous yoga student, wasn't shy about what she'd ask the president as she headed into the center.
"When will he be vacating his office?' laughed the self-described far-to-the-left liberal. "I won't be missing much on Monday, (Bush) usually says the same . . . thing.'
Others like McCall said they would be thrilled to have the president visit and they have plenty they'd like to talk about. McCall's top concern is gas prices, which are topping $3 for premium in the area.
"Could you bring down the gas prices, Mr. President?' McCall said. "I don't make it to the senior center as often as I'd like with the price of gas these days.'
Rosie DeLarosa of Rancho Cucamonga wants to see more jobs in California and to know when the troops will return from Iraq.
Claude Giles, 69, of Rialto said his biggest concern is education and the No Child Left Behind Act.
"I don't like this No Child Left Behind policy because so many children have already been left behind,' Giles said. "Maybe the president could create a No Parents Left Behind policy to get this country on track.'
John Morgan, a 77-year-old volunteer at the center, said he didn't have any questions for the president and that was just as well.
"I never expected that I would ever get a chance to meet the president, so I never thought about it much,' Morgan said. "And I don't expect I'll get a chance this time.'
In the last few days, the president has visited Utah and Idaho to rally support for the war in Iraq. Bush plans to visit Arizona next week, said White House spokesman David Almacy, who would only say that Bush may also stop in the Inland Empire.
