Jeez, it's taking every last chance to power up before coming on shore. I remember with Francis going to bed, waking up, and I couldn't believe my eyes - it looked like the storm hadn't moved at all.
Palm Beach isn't much more than 50 nautical miles from West End on Grand Bahama, both of them show clearly on that radar image. Yeah, I'm wondering it she is speeding up or whether I'm just not paying attention.
Anyone know for sure if its coming in at West Palm...(I've been out all morning)...
..and if it could impact Melbourne to Titusville area strongly??????
I need to let someone know if I'm attending something tonight......
..should I not go???
Melbourne, where I'm at right now, has seen it's highest gust at 31 mph. Overall it's not supposed to be bad, but they said there could be some additional gusts. I wouldn't want to be on I-95 tonight, but US1, or Wickham should be fine.
Not sure, Guenie........they still say it could change a little.
It's not strengthening, but it's not weakening.
TWC shows it still going in under West Palm Beach.

Do you put Rain-X on your windshield? If not, you may want to stop and pick some up, makes the visibility in nighttime rain a lot better.
..I've looking for an excuse not to go ....There have been some horrible accidents on I-95 recently....usually during storms, but not always.
I should get the Rain-X eh.
On your windshield, not in the fluid thingy?
As for the Rain-X, I swear by the stuff for driving in the rain. You can get it at auto parts stores and some grocery/convenience stores.
Doesn't 6MPH mean this TS has stalled?
They make a wiperfluid gallon size (green in color) that's premixed for you wiper fluid tank, but the pic is the little bottle that you apply directly to your windshield with a rag (I think that works better.)
I keep a bottle in my car and if it looks like the clouds are going to hammer me, I'll pull over and do a little touch up application. This directly applied stuff lasts about a month and there is no build up in case you want to apply more often.
Use this stuff once, and you'll be hooked.
I want someone to write me a note and get me out of this for tonight :^
I'm going to get some; and for my hubby too.....he travels a lot and can surely use that!
Well, nobody can say you're not trying to get out of it honestly!
Cool. I think you could blame the storm for not wanting to go, especially with all the I-95 accidents in the past few days.
You can also check FHP live traffic accident data just before you leave. I check to decide if I'm going to commute on 95 or US1. It's up to the minute. They use codes sometimes. S-16 means roadblock, but they will often just use plain english.

Note to Guenevere: the winds are picking up quite a bit here in the north end of Miami.
Thank-you...:))
