It's a plane change for merging airlines

America West Airlines traded in its emblem and distinctive turquoise and flame-orange colors for the red, white and blue of its new partner.

The Tempe carrier unveiled its new look Monday, a paint scheme that will be used for all of its aircraft and US Airways planes when a planned merger becomes official this fall.

The US Airways web site shows an Airbus instead of Boeing but the paint scheme looks good.

US ScAir + America Worst = lots of more passengers for Southwest.

Two messed up organizations where customer service is not even considered just hastens the demise of both.

Right on! Now if Northwest can just lose gates at Minneapolis/St Paul airport so Southwest can SWOOP in, I'll be complete!
