To: Reagan Man
The ban on political assassinations is in the form of an executive order (originally signed by Ford, and later reaffirmed by Carter and Reagan), it has never been a Congressionally mandated law. Bush could end it with a stroke of a pen and he would never even have to announce it publicly.

We have launched attacks that could have killed many foreign leaders (Saddam, Kaddafi, Milosevic and others), nobody has ever complained about those. Robertson offered an opinion about ending the regime of a maniacal dictator, the left is upset because Chavez is one of their new "pets," just like Ho Chi Minh, Castro, Ortega and Gueverra have been and/or still are.

You're right. It's not a law, but rather an executive order. Thanks for correcting the record.

I think we are in general agreement on the Robertson remarks. I've only been defending him for ths last 18 hours.
