we need to build a fence on the whole southern border but the problem is the private land in a lot of areas especially like texas, maybe the govt can designate a few feet from the border federal land buffer zone.

Any landowner who gives any crap about the border fence being put in should have the fence put on the north side of his property.

However, I get the feeling of the Democrats and Republicans starting to yell about how strong they are on the border is about the same as the prefight screaming by pro wrestlers. Even if they do smack each other with folding chairs in the "fight", they'll share the same locker room afterward and laugh about what chumps the audience is. The only thing missing is Vince McMahon.
