I bet Clinton would like to give Cindy Shee-han some grief counseling up close and personal.
Clinton sent those men in and left them hanging. He should have suffered a similar fate.
Did you lose any friends or loved ones in Mogadishu? It's easy to say, "get over it" when his actions never personally touched you.
Hey -
Why isn't Sandy Burgler in jail??
"Can we get over Clinton already"?
Why ask such a stupid question?
Clinton & his traitorous appointees:
The public-sector turds that won't flush...
Unbelievable! And a coward above all.

The Marines Bush sent finished their mission and left. Task Force Ranger was entirely Clinton's doing.
One other incident that didn't make the movie -- or the American press, McKenny said -- happened after the wounded soldiers were brought back to Walter Reed Army Hospital outside Washington.
"Clinton was advised to go see them, but he didn't want to," McKenny said. "Somewhat reluctantly, he finally did go. When he got there, he offered to have his picture taken with each one of them. At least four turned him down, saying they wouldn't dishonor their dead friends or their uniform by having their pictures taken with him.
......................
The Clintons were the First family who turned their backs on the military. Wasn't it Clinton who never saluted military staff? The Clintons dishonor and disrespect when it accomodates their whims, then they "act" all huffy when they're rebuffed for their disrespectful actions. They really are in their own little universe.
You left out the part where the father of one of the slain soldiers (Sgt. Casy Joyce?) asks Clinton why, at the same time the soldiers were hunting Aidid, Clinton was working to get Jimmy Carter into peace talks with him. Clinton, stunned, turned to Tony Lake, and said, "You know, thats exactly what I asked Tony Lake myself."
Thanks for the ping, Mia T. Great post. Informative thread.

Gordon and Shugart were Delta Force, not Rangers.
One is inevitably reminded of the quite unbelievable image of the president of the United States on the phone with a congressman discussing Bosnia while being simultaneously serviced by Monica Lewinsky. -- Charles Krauthammer, History Will Not be Kind to Clinton
What was always staggering to me about this scene was not what it says about Clinton's sexual practices -- I couldn't care less one way or another -- but about his unseriousness. -- Charles Krauthammer, History Will Not be Kind to Clinton

The following is a letter to ex-President Clinton from James Smith, a former Ranger whose son Corporal James E Smith was killed in Somalia. Mr. Smith, a decorated Vietnam-era Ranger himself, rejected the traditonal letter of condolence written by the White House, and returned this in reply: 10 Mallard Lane thanx to snowrip for letter

Patton would have slapped klinton's face.
Is that all? ;)
