YOu go back 4 months from 9/11.that's now late May..W got in very late, as well well rememebr, and many of his appointments were tied up for several months..many of the undersecretaries..Feb..March..so there's NO window there..
There was a left wing petition going around about Clinton staying in office until the "legal problems" were resolved. It was "For the sake of the country." That would have kept Clinton in office long enough for 9/11 to occur, and he'd be in charge. Bill really, really, thought Gore would win. Because Gore lost, all the left wings effort went into keeping the Republican out as long as possible.
I will always believe Clinton knew 9/11 was coming, and welcomed the attack with Al Gore having the power to declare martial law.
Don't forget the Bush had to deal with China in the early months of his admin with that plane incident. I still want to know if the alleged plan of action against OBL and AQ was ever real, and delivered to Bush just a month before 9-11.
