You are absolutely correct. The President has to fight for freedom in America too - not just Iraq and foreign nations.
Sometimes I think they do nothing and wait for the coming uprising from the grassroots. When we speak up it is often more resounding than bickering from the President.
Yet, in this case and in immigration - it is time for his voice and actions to be heard.
I generally admire W, but sometimes I have the disquieting feeling that he isn't focused. Remember the first debate?
Also, remember how his father never really publicly addressed the economy? That very likely cost the election, which was fairly close, IIRC.
