Chavez is a raving lunatic, but unfortunately he sits on a bunch of oil so he has a lot more $$$ to pursue his idiocies than does Fidel Castro. It really is terrible that when that half-hearted coup took place against Chavez they lacked the fortitude to expel him from the country (or put him where the sun would never shine again). Letting him continue in power was a blunder of historic proportions.
