I don't think many people younger than us (I am 51) even know about groups like SDS or Weather Underground. But I bet they know about Kent State.

TKS reader Stan recorded the National Geographic special on 9/11, and he transcribed the section that seemed to be referring to Able Danger:
“AT THIS AIR FORCE BASE IN TAMPA (Picture of Entrance Gate to MacDill Air Force Base), MEMBERS OF THE U.S. ARMY SPECIAL OPERATIONS COMMAND ARE REVIEWING AN UNUSUAL CHART THAT REPORTEDLY IDENTIFIES BOTH ATTA (picture ID of Atta shown) AND AL-SHEHHI (picture ID of Al-Shehhi shown) AS LIKELY MEMBERS OF AN AL-QAEDA TERROR CELL OPERATING WITHIN THE U.S. THE OFFICIALS DECIDE THEY CANNOT PASS THIS INFORMATION ALONG TO THE FBI, IN PART BECAUSE THE MEN ARE HOLDING VALID U.S. VISAS AND MAY BE OFF LIMITS FROM INTELLIGENCE GATHERING BY THE MILITARY.” The next segment discussed terrorist training camps in Kandahar, Afghanistan.
That sounds EXACTLY like Able Danger info. Just contemptible and unfathomable thinking went into these decisions.!! I remember hearing a wisp of that in the show .. but they didn't dwell on it or embellish it.
Sakka, I am so angry today. I was so moved by the special on 9/11 last night. It was chilling to see their infinite patience in their effort to destroy us. I am so angry today that so many Americans are asleep or just willingly ignorant. I don't know what to say. We just have to keep talking, reminding, shouting louder than the stupid anti-war crowd - because we are more than they are.

I wasn't able to use FR for weeks. My best friend's firefighter son was in the South Tower.
We all kept vigil at her house until, 9 days later, they found a part of him.
He was with Rescue 3, and of the 9 FF's Rescue 3 lost, the partial remains of only 2 were found.
