Oh, by the way, it's been more than a few posts since you trotted out the "Buchanan/Tancredo crowd" line. Saving it for a rainy day?
I get the impression that not everything is love and bliss in the Buchanan/Tancredo camp. Looks like Tancredo is trying to crawfish on Buchanan and Buchanan is threatening to find a new candidate to run for president in 2008.
When they entered into their partnership Tancredo was looking at giving up his Congressional seat anyway because he had promised a voluntary term limit.
Now that he has crawfished on that promise he can safely sit in Congress the rest of his life being treated like royalty as long as he doesn't alienate too many people in power. Except for that pesky agreement to run for president.
That would mean giving up his Congressional seat. Most ex-Congressmen become pathetic figures within a few years when they realize that their friends weren't really friends and that their jokes aren't really funny and that women aren't really sexually attracted to thim...
I'm stocking up on popcorn and sitting back watching this play out. My guess is that he's already done his mea culpas to Rove, DeLay and Melhman.
