'i stopped reading after "hounds"'
I think the word used was 'wolves' but leaving aside one perhaps unnecessary adjective, what argument might you have with the history presented by this writer?
"hounds" ia the fourth word. my argument is that arabs are people and not dogs. if this writer wants to be taken seriously as a historian in the modern world, he should write like one.
as an opinion piece, i have no quarrell. the author has made his opinion very clear and everyone is entitled to his own opinion, but not his own facts.
