Unfortunately, things did not blow over, and ABC Radio gave him a stark choice last week, retract and do outreach to terrorists work, or hit the road. To Michael's credit, he's sticking to his guns. I hope that he get's a lucrative syndication deal out of this whole fiasco, and that WMAL goes down in flames for ABC Radio's appeasement.
I quite agree with you, Graham is to be commended for not caving in---and he will, very likely, emerge from this with a better gig.
Graham's error was tactical, but it was such an outstanding blunder (calling off the protest campaign), I can't help feeling very annoyed with him.
And wondering...trying to cultivate my cynical side here...wondering if maybe he really wanted to get fired because he had better prospects elsewhere, and a contract he couldn't easily extricate himself from.
