I read recently that one Democratic strategist remarked that the Democratic party has lost its brains.

Taunting and name calling backfires. It's been proven again and again. It's possible to rewrite history to say, well this person said bad things and he/she won. Lately it seems that the left decides it's name calling, or worse, if the right just shows up.

Criticism of both parties is a helpful thing if someone really scrutinizes what comments are valid and what aren't. Lately the beneficiary has been the Republican party as its partisans are better at hearing and processing bad news.

Democrats are being led by people who believed their own press about the efficacy of shouting opponents down in the sixties and seventies, even though a more objective analysis may find a different result. These same leaders are bound by "groupthink" (read a prettified version of narcissism). It would be better for the country if the Democrats could be honest and say, this is where we went wrong and we won't do that anymore. This may occur to a finite degree on the strategy level, but it hardly occurs at the policy level. And then make the changes.

It seems lately that the left finds a hypersanctity of continuing a bad policy as change is prohibited. Once a bad thing is done, it must continue to be done. For ever. Except as determined by SCOTUS? Weird.

The worst he can do is lose to Hillary...Bush only won by what? 80,000 in Ohio??? The Republicans have lost far more than that just over the illegal alien issue alone...
