Unless something is done quickly, the immigration issue, legal and illegal but especially illegal, is going to overshadow practically every other issue in our polity: from health care to education to taxes to language policy to affirmative action ad infinitum. It's going to destroy our national polity, our national sovereignty, our national language, our national unity. No amount of hypothetical "economic prosperity" that such immigration is (deceitfully IMHO) projected by open borders shills to bring is going to be worth that.
I agree with what you say because immigration has turned from immigration into an existing polity into colonization. The ethnic hustlers who claim to speak for "their" people are pretty insistent that it is they who are superior and America is nothing but an economic zone that could not survive without their involvement. And we have the globalists (basically white liberals and their righist co-horts) trying to swindle us with myth making and outright duplicity. But hey it pays them well eg; WSJ.
You bring up a very important point. If somehting is not done about illegal immigration, the population of illegals will be so high that they will have the dominant influence on politics. Already, many state and municipal government are capitulating to the demands fromm illegals. Once a critical proprotion of the U.S. population are illigals, a tipping point will be reached where they get to make the laws, not just scream and shout to modify them.
