Wasn't that Jamie G(sp)on the committee? Why doesn't someone ask her where they are?

So, when does the "Smear Shaffer" campaign begin? C'mon, you all know the next step is to totally discredit the witness (whistle-blower). I bet that will be the breaking news when Bush gets back to D.C.

"The Able Danger whistleblower had said previously that a member of the team had delivered two briefcases full of documents to the 9/11 Commission - but Commission spokesman have said they have found nothing that mentioned Atta by name."

I guess this is about the same as "They said there would be a terrorist attack using airplanes on September 11th but they didn't say which airline... The 9/11 Commission has been illuminated as the fraud they have been all along.

It didn't stop someone at Los Alamos, besides the chances the information was completely lost is far more remote than you would be led to believe. Are we to believe the whole operation was that sloppy? or is that what they want us to conveniently believe so that Clinton may walk away laughing, again.

The problem is, know one wants the blame and they'll make damn sure they don't. The 911 Commission was cover up #1, the disappearance of the Able Danger documents would be #2.

Anyone see a pattern here?

I don't think Shaffer is a fake. Think he talked to a few good men who will back him up...and get the truth out AND I believe Shaffer himself has copies stashed. Coming out alone would have been very dangerous to his health and safety. He knows what can happen to you if you plan to expose certain politicians.

Jamie Gorelick is probably terrified that she will become the next Arkancide casualty.

Give it about two years and Hillary will "mysteriously" find the documents in the White House resident's area.

"Almost everyone I work with in my office has the ability to burn a CD and I do often as a data CD that can be reused. If someone didn't retain all the information considering its size, I would bet the most important information was."

I am with ya 100%. For many years did the same things, even when I administerd UNIX systems, I always made additional copies of a lot of critcal stuff on other systems etc..
Guess the bottom line is what are the rules at the DIA as to allowing such things to be done. If something say is classified at a need to read only Secret, perhaps it is forbidden to make copies of things or remove things from a given area. Many years ago I worked on classified and secret programs and we where not allowed to remove any document from a given area we worked in, period. Everything had to be replaced in it's particular filecabinet folder, and signed back in. I realize in a fully computerized environment, the control of info must be handled differently ,but one would assume the rules are stringent as how information can be moved about in systems, networks etc..
Perhaps this story will soon be over if the pricks really removed the stored boxes and destroyed them.

Yeah, I remember the Tony Snow Thread mentioned that some were attempting to get permission to speak out.

If all else fails they should be permitted to testify before a closed session on the security committees in congress.

I want Sessions/Weldon & Coleman there at the meetings.

The Commission member seems to ackowledge that they did receive info on Able Danger. "None of the documents mentioned Atta by name?" The questions should be...Did the Able Danger documentation the commission received mention ANY of the terrorists of 9-11 by name? Did it mention a cell in the USA? Did it mention WHO said to ignore the cell? Did it mention WHO said "NO" about forwarding the cell info to the FBI and/or CIA?

yes, there is a pattern. but the missing explanation is that we had a "regime change" in this country in 2001, what is our side doing?

imagine the tables were reversed - imagine that we had 8 years of a republican president whose stewardship of the nation's military, intelligence, and legal apparatus led to 9-11 7 months after leaving office. imagine that a democrat came into office in 2001, with all of this information we now see. that democrat president would have buried the republicans, would have used this information to see to it that no republican held the presidency for the next 40 years.

that national geogrpahic channel show on 9-11 is starting now.

I still do not understand the timing of this whole able danger revelation. why now? I could think of several better times to have done this, especially if Shaffer is sitting on the documents, for example, right after the 9-11 commission issued its report. so he goes public now, and then follows it up with "the docs seems to be missing" a week later? something is not right.

I agree, this whole thing doesn't have a good feel to it but I'm am not at all sure why. CYA, A farce, A set up, a distraction or the real McCoy? I just have no gut feeling about this at all except something isn't right. I particularly didn't like the way Lt. Col. Shaffer tried to emphasize that he was not criticizing the President in an interview I saw recently. I know that in itself is no big deal and actually seems complimentary but something struck me as strange about it.

I place my bets on a large sealed envelope in a safe place with directions to someone else to mail it to another place/person if something deadly or otherwise would happen.

High stakes poker folks, always CYA.

well, I can understand Shaffer not wanting to appear as an anti-clinton "kook". all he needs is to just give the facts, we can draw the conclusions.

What I do not understand and perhaps I assume more credit is due to the 'National Archive filing system'; but I would like to think everything is 'catalogued'. . .by number or 'something' and that they can certainly figure out at least, 'what' papers went into Burglar's pants. At least.

As for Mr. Burglar himself; is he a 'hero' in DC/Demrat circles or is he forever disenfranchised. . .just wondering where he goes to dinner and if gets a seat next to the kitchen. . .or what.

I agree with you but I also think that until the information they collected was fully reviewed and considered irrelevant or faulty information it would be retained as "under review" or waiting for a command to release it for review but not simply destroyed, I don't buy that.

Where I work we supply information to our customers in a quote or bid that may remain in limbo for up to three years and then suddenly it becomes an order. We need to retrieve the exact information contained in that proposal which could amount to a lot of information. The employer has already payed for the services of the employees to create this information and losing it means money.
