I have two.
1 cheap Steinberger bass knockoff : 1 Marty (who can't play it very well)
I was just working on a song. Stuck on lyrics.
We have a 73 tele deluxe (mine), a 2004 mex tele (daughters), electric mandolin (whoever can play it), ibanez 12 string (may sell it), student violin ($ 0.01 on ebay!), 114 yr old violin (daughters), and are looking for a fender mustang for Mom. Rock on!
I have six guitars and a bass guitar.
I have 5.
77' Les Paul Custom (Black)
79' Lake Placid Red Strat
89' tri color American Strat
85' Roland GR Synth
86' Ovation Balladeer
? Ramirez Classical
1 POS El Crapo Acoustic
I have 10...although most are not top of the line USA made.
Gulf coast nights; flounder lights; I'm back on the eastern shore.
With my history of wrecks, I guess it's time to check, the crap trap of life once more.
Need is a relative thing these days; It borders on desire.
The high tech world is full of bright shiny things, we think that we really require.
Sometimes more than others you see who and what and where you are.
I'm a one man band with no immediate plans; tonight I just need my guitar.
No need to feel important or famous; no limos or my little Nash car.
One lucky man, with my feet in the sand; tonight I just need my guitar.
Just one at the moment. Plus mando, fiddle and tenor banjo, and various and sundry cheap tin whistles and a fife and such like.
There are several I want badly, though. Acoustics, mostly. Also want a decent classical at some point, and a Tele clone of some sort just to play around with.
I have a couple of "Beatle" guitars ... a Rickenbacker 325 short-scale, the John Lennon model, that a lot of people who've tried can't handle because of the short scale and small neck, but being that I have tiny hands I can play things on it that I can't dream of playing on a full-scale guitar; I also have a Gibson J-160E, the acoustic with a P-90 pickup at the neck that John and George used often, doesn't really sound like an acoustic when you plug it in but it's really a versatile guitar if you work with it. I also have an Ovation Custom Balladeer 12-string electric/acoustic and my first guitar, an old Fender Malibu acoustic from the '60s with a Strat-style neck. I have a Carvin X-60 tube amp with one 12-inch Celestion speaker that I guess you would call my "main" amp, but what I use more than anything is a Vox solid-state Pathfinder, a recent import from Korea. Best $115 I ever spent, if there's a practice amp that tops it, I'd like to see it, and it is an eminently gig-able amp as well. It sounds WAY louder than 15 watts.
1 Round-top acoustic
3 Electrics
2 Electric basses
fiddle, mandolin-banjo, autoharp, etc.
ACID Pro 4.0
1. Peavey T-40
2. Charvel bass
3. Dean acoustic bass
4. Gibson EB3-L Fretless
Too many!
Epiphone Explorer
Epiphone Firebird
Fender Telecaster (Mexican made reissue of the 1960's "paisley" Tele)
Old, old Kay electric on loan to my nephew
Aria bass
Harmony bass on loan to a friend
Martin Sigma 12-string acoustic
el cheapo 6-string acoustic
I just sold one on Friday and have four left in the stable.
No need for a clone, the mex teles are good. About $350 retail and I was pleased with its playability. Especially for a beginner/goofing.
1) Main axe: '98 Gibson Les Paul Standard, cherry sunburst;
2) Backup: '79 Fender Strat, alder body, maple neck (heavy sucker). Played all through the '90's, needs new frets (wore 'em out!);
3) '79 Fender Telecaster, maple neck. Nice mellow tele sound;
4) Ibanez 12-string acoustic;
5) Jackson bass.
