I would disagree. The New Agers used her because of the size of her audience, and Oprah became the force that spread that movement, which is world-wide and growing rapidly. Cruise knows this and would love to turn Oprah into a mouthpiece for Scientology, which is not far-removed from the New Age movement.

I hope so. She does kind of buy into whatever new agey things her guests push, like Deepak Chopra, and Tom and John are pals of hers.
