Sounds like a case of Napoleon Syndrome.
Now that's a big assumption....
While we are assuming....Let's assume this group of revelers happened to be real dangerous..and you and your family were eating at this establishment.... Imagine them attempting to harm your wife or child... Wouldn't you be thankful for the good citizen with the sidearm willing to intercede?
