Is that still what "the Arab street" is watching?
I'd be willing to bet you that a number of military people will be watching it, especially those who are on the verge of being deployed to the middle east, because they'll want to know the mindset of the locals they are about to come in contact with.
If you don't want to watch it, fine. Do you watch anything other than Fox News now?
I just read an article on Rushing from a usually barfy left-wing site (link below) that seems to be somewhat reasonable in its portrayal of Rushing. There's no indication that Rushing is specifically "anti-U.S." or "anti-military" or even anti-Iraq War, but he appears to have struck up some sort of friendship with one of the Al Jazeera staff and has decided to present a different point of view on Al Jazeera. We'll wait and see.

If you want to watch it go right ahead. Don't have to watch it to know what they're doing since all the other channels report on it.
Because we don't want our money to go to a terrorist loving network that does not mean that we are "sticking our heads in the sand". Maybe you need to watch it to find out what's going on but most of us here are well aware of what is happening in the Middle East, we don't need to watch terrorist networks for our news.
I think a lot of people here are happy to let Rush and Ann do their thinking for them.
Also, Al J is banned in some Middle East countries for being too 'western' in its views (Iran is one of them I think).
So now you trust the MSM's reporting?
Maybe you need to watch it to find out what's going on...
I didn't say I'd watch it all the time, but shouldn't we have the option to find out for ourselves what those people are saying?
Can you read the subtitles on those pictures jimbo123 posted?
You mean Scott Ritter? He's a total sellout and has written editorials for Al Jazeera.
Keep your friends close, but keep your enemies closer.
I would be very interested in seeing what the other side is seeing. It is *sort of* like keeping a watch on DU; the stakes are higher, but, unfortunately, our view will be somewhat sanitized.
Yes. Thanks.
WOuld it have been wise to broadcast German Nazi propaganda directly to the US during WWII?
Yes, that's right a lot of people here just need Rush and Ann to do our thinking for us, while you are so much smarter than the rest of us. I guess elitism isn't just for the DUmmies.
I get is now, we would all be so much smarter if we just watched AJ.
They won't be on the air long. A 50 megaton direct nuclear explosion will ruin their transmission equipment.
Amelia, you forget that with a cable system you are paying for the programming whether you watch it or not. I would not have listened to Goebbels during WWII, I will not watch the equialent now. I don't have to jump off a bridge to know that it is not a good idea.
Thanks - done!
Gathering information from as many sources as possible isn't smart, it's common sense.
I think MTV is disgusting and I don't want to pay for it.
While making fun of the "sheeple". ;-)
