You're saying that because your grandmother said "people were mean years ago" that therefore currently people in general are kinder and more well behaved.

and I in turn responded that people must have had to be harder to it. And I just mentioned what my great grandmother said, that people were meaner years ago. Which goes to what 7days was saying, that the deaths must have been overwhelming( she meant emotionally) for survivors. We are just speculating about how surviving members were able to go on after losing someone they loved so much. I'm just making the point that I think they had to have some sort of detachment. The more you allow yourself to love the more you have to lose and all that. It was an opinion post, that's right. I cited my great grandmother. It was anecdotal. What's your point?
