Ayn Rand hated leftists. The leftists hawked abortion in her lifetime. She did not associate with them then. She would not have associated with them now. People like Ayn Rand because she wrote eloquent stories about the abuses of totalitarian systems.

No question she was antiCommunist--but for many of the wrong reasons. There weren't too many pro-aborts around when she was in her heyday; and I don't believe her ego would have allowed her to stoop to defending any particularly feminist tenet.
