I've got a problem with the people of Alaska reaching into my back pocket for pork. How about if the rest of us vote to grab all that lovely oil money eh? That would be Democracy in action too wouldn't it?

Compared to the resourses Alaska supplies to our country we get damn little pork in return.

ALASKA has already paid the cost of this and other capital projects with the percentage of OIL royalties the Congress has stolen from the original pipeline deal.
It's OK for you to take "our" money?
"ALASKA isn't really a STATE, after all not enough people "up there" to count." Right?
Does your STATE get Federal Highway MONEY?
Oh yeah, some STATES are more equal than other STATES?
Right?

Last time I checked, Alaskans pay federal income tax along with the rest of the Lower 48. (sarcasm) Do you realize how many of the fancy, "just gotta have", projects us Alaskans are paying for that are demanded by those in the Lower 48? We do not have that many folks living up here but you all down there sure love to come on up here and use our roads by the hundreds and hundreds of thousands. We have to fix up the wear and tear on the roads caused by the tourists. I'm not complaining, just pointing out that your comment is rather self-righteous and ignorant.
