Seeing that photo of VP Cheney re-enlisting service members in Afghanistan makes me think of that winter at Valley Forge a few hundred years ago, and Washington's army toughing it out in the wretched cold. So many had done their year and left. We have so much to be grateful for in this country, so much to thank those stayed and re-enlisted that dreadful winter. These young Americans are their descendants.

Thank you for your comments on the Vice President but in view of the history of this thread I would have preferred you not to have made your previous comment. As you obviously do support the President and the Vice President I will ask the mods to remove my post but I and other dose posters would prefer those comments to made on other more suitable threads.
