Why didn't Nethercott appear to defend himself or even assign representation, I wonder? That made it a default judgement that can't be appealed.

Probably because he was in prison. It is too bad he couldn't have found some way to stand up against this outrage.

Why didn't Nethercott appear to defend himself or even assign representation, I wonder? That made it a default judgement that can't be appealed. I wondered that too. Maybe because he was in prison he couldn't get out to do it. His sister seemed to throw in the towel and turn his ranch over to them.
