First of all this is a puff piece by a left wing writer.

100,000 illegals taking jobs that black Democratic plantation workers won't do could not come close to contributing 16 billion to Nevada's economy.
Just doing the math in the head would mean each illegal was contributing about $160,000 dollars to the economy. I don't think working for minimum wage even with over time and double overtime would come close to that figure. I could be wrong.

Actually, $158,416 per illegal. Whereas a local paid $10 per hour to clean hotel rooms would bring in only $20,800. working a 40 hour week. Since the illegal worker contributes $7.62 for every dollar contributed by a local worker, just think of the economic bonanza awaiting us if every local could be replaced by an illegal! < / sarcasm>

Why do you assume they are making minimum wage?

Some of the big casino's pay fairly well, it's cheaper to keep an employee reasonably happy than to hire new people every couple of weeks.

The illegals are just about dominant in the construction trades, to the point that an inexperienced "Anglo" cannot even put in an application.
The invaders in construction may make 1/3 less than the citizens, but they will also not have to pay tax's.

The Vegas porn industry welcomes illegals, the women are busy "dancing" and spreading formerly rare disease, the men are out on the street literally cramming porn newspapers in your face!

They still cost us MUCH more than they contribute, and I have no doubt the "study" was carefully crafted to ignore the expense illegals impose on us, but do not assume the invaders are getting minimum wage or less.
