Well, actually I don't belong to MoveOn. I don't like Michael Moore; I think he's a big mouth and I don't agree with him on the issues. I vote Democrat and I'm proud of it, but I don't think that Bush is Hitler or Satan or aything extreme like that.

I am sorry that the political spectrums have become so divided , and that's the truth. I wish that Democrats and Republicans could learn to find some common ground and get along together.

I'm not here to make enemies. You and I disagree on the issues - strongly, in some cases - but I don't hate you or anyone else here. You're a person who has just as much of a right to his/her ideas as I do. I'd rather get to know you and discuss these issues in a friendly manner than to argue. That's the truth also.

I wish that Republicans and Democrats could find some common ground and stop calling the other side evil. Both parties tend to trump their own ideas over the other side's - that's human nature. Unfortunately, political discourse and friendly discussion have been the casualties of this nature, which I believe is the fault of both Democrats and Republicans.

I probably shouldn't have come onto this forum. On that point, we probably agree. But I'm here now, so all of that's academic. If I do get cut from this forum, just remember that if your assertion that most (or all) liberals aren't interested in ideas different than their own, I'm the exception. I welcome everyone's comments, criticisms, and even insults, if you feel the need to post them.

The liberals created political correctness in an attempt to save the world from itself, but political correctness has done more harm to the world than any war in history. Forcing people, through laws, to think contrary to their conscience creates hate. Hate creates violence. Violence creates war.
That's why we are where we are today.

My mom and dad grew up as Democrats ( I don't know if I can put them in the category as Liberals , it's just, what has been instilled in them from birth, you know, the FDR generation )... and so, like wise, I grew up in their house only believing and knowing what they knew.
Many voters today vote like that, " I have always voted this way, because my parents voted this way " and I never had my own thinking, and own views, so I just went with the flow.

That all changed when I became a Born Again Christian.
After years of learning the Bible, and Knowing Christ, my views, ideas, ideology started to change, and one day, " I SAW THE LIGHT " ..... and I was transformed.
My mind and heart were unshackled and I understood the other side's views, ideas, beliefs, ideology, so on and so on, and have never turned back.
What I once thought was good, what I once thought was the truth, what I once believed in, what I once thought was noble, now ? I think differently.
I had a change of heart, I am able to think on my own, to develop views and ideas on my own, and I think ? that is the hallmark of conservative thinking in harmony with our traditional valves.

Just yesterday, I was listening to Rush.
There was a woman that came on, and Rush was very polite with her, and she is a Liberal Democrat, but, she admitted, that she was starting to have a change of heart.
She feels that after listening to Rush for a long time, that she is starting to change, and you could hear her start to cry over the air, because of her decision.
Yes, sometimes, it can be a agonizing decision to make, in what you once thought was true, what you once believed in , what you once thought was noble, and now ? you have to change your thinking and point of view.

A lot of Republicans now, were ex liberal/democrats, and had a change of heart, a agonizing decision to make, and saw the error of their ways and " SAW THE LIGHT " and finally started to understand, and see things the way conservatives did, and never looked back.
Some ex liberals/democrats have a advantage, because, they can see ( Liberals views/ideas/ideology ) it from a different perspective.
I am thankful that I am able to share my experience to others.
