Cindy Sheehan, the grieving mother and anti-war protester, has been camping outside President Bushs ranch in Crawford,Texas, for nearly two weeks. After Casey Sheehan was killed last year in Iraq, both his parents met with the president. Initial statements by Ms. Sheehan about the meeting were positive, but now she is calling for Mr. Bushs impeachment and for the withdrawal not only of America from Iraq, but also of Israel from Palestine. Naturally, her vigil and her vitriolic anti-Bush statements have attracted worldwide attention, and hundreds of supporters have joined the 48-year-old California woman as she angrily bares her grief in public for all to see.
Im not going to hazard a guess as to why Ms.Sheehan has changed her tune. Grief and time have a way of mobilizing inner impulses that defy explanation. Instead Id like to offer some balance to the picture by reporting on the funeral of another soldier killed in Iraq, and the quite different response from his grieving family.

Her own light has been severely dimmed
She has dishonored herself
She has dishonored her son now dead in sworn service to the country she hates
She has dishonored her husband who has retreated into divorce
She has forgotten the paths of graditude
Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues, but the parent of all the others ---Cicero
Nothing but ill can come of this.

hear hear. No one can soil the heroic sacrifices of these fine young men and women. No more Viet Nams to leverage your disdain for what America stands for. NEVER AGAIN.

No, her son will always be a hero. His legacy was one of honor, sacrifice, and love. Cindy Sheehan is marring her own future. She must live forever with what she is doing today. One day she will be old and will look back on this as her days of shame. There will be no cameras there to capture her epiphany. They will have long left her, tiring of this story, and smelling new blood in the water. I do pity her. And that's not a feeling she should desire.

As we follow this lady's departure from her family, and especially her dead son's memory, we have to look at the groups that she is associating with. They seem to be the democratic party, Move-on.orgy, the ACLU wouldn't surprise me, maybe some male muslims between the ages of 19 and 40, all of the fun loving folks from the far, far left!!!!
It's no wonder that her family and the world see her as a lunatic??????

My strong suspicion is that her mother is in the same fine or not so fine health she was in last week and the week before.
I think we can chart this play at home as - MoveOn.org political consultants to Sheehan "you're not playing well in Peoria - why not go home and give it a rest for a while? You could always claim a health crisis in your family...since there is medical records privacy up the uyin-yang - no one will ever be able to disprove your claim, and the main stream press will not even try. We guarantee it."

Sheehan Marring Her Son's LegacyNOTHING can mar her son's legacy. Osama bin Laden and Saddam Hussein running relays couldn't "mar her son's legacy."
C'mon---if there're points to be scored, score them against Cindy Sheehan, NOT her son's legacy. Don't even try rhetorically to dishonor a man who died fighting in our armed forces, or you deserve to lose whatever argument you're making.
