Well, yes, in comparison to dumb as a box of rocks Boxer, she is.

Well, though she's a liberal, I kind of like Diane Feinstien. She's that rare thing - an old fashioned liberal. She's to the left, but I believe she can be trusted to sit in the high councils of state. I don't doubt her loyalty to this country.

And, of course, she took over admirably in San Fransisco under the worst imaginable circumstances. She was also, arguably, the last sane Mayor of San Fransisco.

Boxer also makes ChiFi look intelligent. Boxer has got to be grateful to the voters of Washington for electing Patty (Osama) Bin Murray. Thanks to her, she's only the second dumbest member of the U.S. Senate.
