As I recall, when the aliens were killed in "The Invaders" they dissolved into red flame, then dust... An intrepid reporter was tracking them down. Hmmmnn...

For three years (1999-2001) there was a SciFi channel show called "First Wave" where the aliens dissolved into red flame, then dust when they were killed... A man falsely convicted of murdering his wife (the aliens did it to set him up) was tracking down the aliens and their operation.

Seems a bit re-cycled.
