Do you want to see Minority Leader Schumer? Minority Leader Boxer? Minority Leader Byrd? Minority Leader Clinton?

As long as it's "minority" leader.

It would probably be Durbin, he's next in line.

As far as this thread I want you to imagine if Cheney had a heart attack and what the DUer's would be saying, I think people here at FRee Republic for the most part are much more enlightened that the DUmmies.

There, I read your thread, FReep on my FRiend.

Precisely. We're better than they are, at least we're supposed to be. I don't like seeing Freepers act like DUmmies.

Oh, I doubt it. My guess is that if Reid stepped down for any reason, he'd be succeeded by Hillary Clinton. With her in that highly visible position, the media would enthusiastically report that she was steering the Democrats in a "moderate" direction, and would publish drooling, sycophantic stories about what a uniter she was, and how she's even earned the respect of her Republican colleagues, and how she's not at all a radical leftist. The other Senate Democrats would definitely accede to this, since it would serve to dramatically boost her chances in 2008. We don't want that.
