Harry Reid doesn't deserve anyone's prayers. He is a dirty lying corrupt politician. While wishing ill on him is something I'd never do, praying for him is taking it a bit too far.

As you get older, you will realize there is a differentce between passions and emotions and discover that praying for even a scumball is the best you can do. The Bible calls it "heaping hot coals upon their heads" when you treat them good despite how bad they act. Besides, enough prayers may get god to touch him in a way that tempers that which you find most vile about him. Even if God doesn't touch Mr. Reid's heart, perhaps your prayers will get Him to touch your heart and give you more peace in the midst of the storm.

God Bless

So I take it that "heaping hot coals on the head" as part of praying for a bad person, is a good thing?

Seems rather, well, ambiguous in the good department if you ask me. But it does allow one to pray with a clear conscience while knowing the old head of the despised one is getting some hot coals poured on it.
