A Katyusha is a multiple tube rocket/weapon... mounted on a vehicle. Russians had thousands of'm in WW2. Nickname... 'Stalin Organ'.
The more modern version is a bit larger, and can be fired from a variety of platforms, including a couple of crossed sticks, as the VC used to do. Couldn't hit anything that way, but it was useful in keeping everyone awake.
