OCEAN CITY -- Gov. Robert L. Ehrlich Jr. says most Marylanders would disagree with Montgomery County Executive Douglas M. Duncan's view that local governments should embrace illegal aliens.
"His [view] is divergent from most of the state on that issue," Mr. Ehrlich told The Washington Times during the summer conference for the Maryland Association of Counties this week.

I think Duncan and O'Malley ensured Governor Erlich's re-election with their statements yesterday. Even in Ultra-PC Montgomery County opposition to illegal immigration is coming to a boil.
so this duncan character, who serves in public office, openly admits he will break the law
Thank you Gov..as a marylander I am very impressed with the GOV..HOPE GW BUSH IS WATCHING AND LEARNING!!
I agree, I will be out campaigning for Erlich. And I will make sure through word and Ads that everyone knows Duncan and O'Malley's view on this. Both Democrats and Republicans are fed up with the Illegal-Alien problem in this state. Now If we can just convince Shaefer to run for Mayor of Baltimore.
The only issue giving the elites pause is the growing gang problems....they abhor violence in their own communities.
As a resident of Montogmery County, Doug Duncan has no one else to blame for the gang related violence. Mont. Co., MD has become well known as a haven for illegal immigrants - they get free education, free medical, sometimes free housing (or reduced cost), etc.
Doug Duncan will do anything to deflect criticism of himself or the $300,000 School Superintendant, the $125,000 Woman Advocate Chair, $125,000 Asst. Public School PR person, etc.
Mont. Co. should now be called THE PEOPLE's REPUBLIC OF MONTGOMERCY COUNTY. We are no better than Takoma Park.
