It's a Dixie Deadhead thing. I had not seen that version of Steal Your Face in 25 years till a Lynyrd Skynyrd concert 3 weeks ago and a kid had one on.

I last saw them in 77 or 78 in Baton Rouge. I go to that Berkley Archive site and have dowloaded all the live shows I attended from early to late 70s. I was at this Fox show. I am a biggest fan of early Pig Pen Dead.....Alligator

*Sigh* I first saw them in 85. If I had a time-machine, the 77 Spring tour would, without a doubt, be my first choice. The Cornell show (5-8-77) gets unfairly singled out as The Greatest Show Ever. The whole tour rocked.

Somewhere I have a tape with Pig Pen doing Run, Run Rudolph. (I think Keith Richards did it, too.)
