LOL! I managed(very very easy) to collect ammonium nitrate by sun-drying the liquid in a used instant cold-compress pack. Never succeeded in getting it to explode though, even after using gasoline, black powder and other stuff with it. Requires electrical detonation, I guess, but ultimately gave the whole thing up for fear of safety.
Try ammonium tri-iodide, very touch stuff and can be made with ammonia cleaner, iodine based dis-infectant and cheesecloth.
