The deceased teenager had been convicted of over 20 offenses, most committed when under compulsory placement in child welfare institutions in Oslo and Arendal. In his last conviction in June 2004 he was sentenced for 17 car thefts, threats, robbing a store, drug abuse and violence against a civil servant. Just another misunderstood child, no doubt.
Here they would be wailing about him being a "good kid".
