Joseph Williams is the one on the left of Debra. He is from Vacaville and his son, Michael J. Williams, Lance Corporal, USMC, fell on March 23, 03, in Nasariyah. He was listed as missing for three days until his body was recovered and had asked his girlfriend to marry him from a ship in Kuwait, prior to his death.

Joseph Williams represents the feelings of us in Vacaville, that our troops are serving a noble cause and keeping us safe at home. Not only was Michael a hero, but so is Joseph. It takes so much courage to stand up and have to relive the trauma of the past to let his son's voice be heard.
