Your post is insulting (and antisemitic) -- I happen to be 100% Irish and Roman Catholic. In fact, I've been rather saddened by this whole thread because it is primarily a string of put-downs and insults directed at Mrs. Sheehan.
I do NOT in anyway agree with her position, but I DO agree with her right to voice her opinion and make her position public. That, in fact, is one of the things our uncorrupted constitution does guarantee. From what I've seen, the media is far more to blame for the circus than she is. The other protesters wouldn't even have known of her vigil were it not for the media.
I am not for the war. I have never believed we had the justification to invade Iraq. I do not believe it is a just war. However, since we ARE there and things, in many ways, have gone from bad to worse for the Iraqi people because of the insurgency, then I support the troops and the jobs they are trying to do. I want their jobs to be successful and for them to be safe. And I also want them home as soon as possible. But I will not dishonor or endanger them further by encouraging the insurgents and other terrorists around the world by causing dissension here at home.
If she and all the others who now are swarming in Mrs. Sheehan's train were so against our involvement, where were they before we invaded Iraq? Why didn't they demand that the government prove that its accusations were correct? If you are going to be against a war and you know it is coming, it is far more credible to voice your objection beforehand rather than after it has begun.
If the posters in this thread are against what Sheehan is doing or if they support her, it would be far more meaningful and constructive to rationally and thoughtfully defend your positions rather than tossing out insults. And for those of you who are Christian, the insults are not in keeping with what Christians profess to believe.
Sorry for being so long winded.

Haven't you already been zotted at least a half-dozen times today?

Sorry for being so long winded.Apparently you were very "short-winded."
BTW, not to put too fine a point on it, but we DID discuss all these "points" that you claim Sheehan is making.
Before the war.
She may have a right to her opinion, but she doesn't have a right to LIE repeatedly while waving a copy of the very document her son died to protect.
