A coupla questions, for anyone who might know. The amount of compensation given to the now homeless settlers - how much exactly does it amount to in terms of American dollars? What is to become of these homeless settlers? Are there shelters somewhere in Israel? Do they have jobs waiting for them somewhere? What is the government doing to support them in this transition? How many of the will leave a dying Israel?

I doubt many will leave Israel. $150,000 to $300,000 as I understand it, depending on family and home size. Destinations vary. Individuals can relocate where they like. There are trailers and tents for those with no destination. Not much has been done for communities who wish to re-locate together as a group.

I firmly believe is that one goal is to destroy the COMMUNITY, community in terms of people not just their homes, that was built in Gaza. It's a leftists wet dream, and Sharon fell for it.
