Chinese security agencies are tightening their controls over foreign non-government organisations operating in the country, fearing they are a cover for efforts to overthrow communist rule.

Ah yes, the paranoia of Communism. They will be overthrown -- the question is just when.

A few tanks a la Tiananmen, and they'll be red again in no time.

However, one of the main US promoters of democracy in Eastern Europe, the Hungarian-born billionaire George Soros, is more prominent here for his investment in fast-growing Hainan Airlines than his Open Society Foundation.
I am all for a color revolution in Red China. That said, there is a price for sleeping with the devil, and Soros with his Open Society and atheism is his best friend. He attempted to use his tactics to overthrow the wins by George Bush in 2000 and 2004 without success. However, in the coutries of Georgia and the Ukraine he was successful. The price those countries are going to pay will be enormous. He almost broke the bank of Britian once, and only made one billion in one day.
If you want to get an idea of how this multi-billionaire is spreading his tenacles of multi-culturalism and atheism throughout the world do a Google on "Soros" and "Open Society." Note how many hits you see in various parts of the world.
Here is one such article on the man. http://www.ukar.org/soros01.html
