You can bet your a-- they'd charge leftist protesters for additional police presence necessitated by them. Yeah, right!

What this says is that if an unruly mob such as we have seen in San Diego County led by Enrique Morones would suddenly show up, anything could happen. How is it that our rights to assemble and hold a community meeting can be abridged by a lawless mob seeking to intimidate and use terror tactics on our fellow citizens?

Good question.

Has our government abandoned this fight and let the lawless take over our nation?

It seems when it comes to this issue, they have.

When you look at that $5,000 amount, it is outrageous and tantamount to extortion.

$5,000 doesn't seem to be a outrageous sum considering the probable counter demonstration. Andy Ramirez says "we have not have any incidents whatsoever at any location," but he fails to say if these locations refer to previous rallies.

If "Friends of the Border Patrol" have had previous rallies then it would have been wise to list them and reference the fact that other locations only charged a pittance or nothing at all...if this was the case. Andy Ramirez neglects to mention this information so an informed reader can make the judgment he wants us to make...IE the powers that be are keeping him down.

The fact that he can't raise $5,000 is very telling.

Actually, there is a more realistic photo circulating somewhere around here. It's not quite as humorous as the one you put up.

The U.S. has the misfortune of being wider than it is tall.

However, she (Mary Lindley) was rather adament and informed me that we'd be on our own as a result.

This is a blatant threat coming from a city official. In other words if the meeting goes ahead without paying $5K protection $$$'s to the city and these thugs show up and create trouble, the city will not enforce laws protecting peaceful assembly. Sounds to me like Mary Lindley is in bed with the thugs and needs to be removed from her position.

It figures you would back the side of the La Raza/MEChA fascist goon squads who use threats of violence to cut off free speech and the right of assembly.

Mary Lindley needs to contact the Carlsbad officials who also tried to use the threat of possible La Raza/Mecha goon squad violence to cancel a peaceable assembly.

Carlsbad caved in 48 hours, when the blatant unconstitutionality of acceding to the "heckler's veto" was made clear to them.

IOW, it's not the responsibility of the victims of threatened violence to pay for extra security in advance. It's the responsibility of the police to protect the peaceful and law abiding, and arrest the violent goons who try to cut off free speech with intimidation tactics.

These were the demonstrators who tried to stop the Carlsbad illegal immigration forum from taking place last week.

They represent the true face of the Open Borders Lobby.

This guy equates Old Glory with a Nazi Swastika.

I live next door in Simi Valley, but if I wanted to hire illegals, Moorpark is the place I'd go. In Moorpark you can get them by the dozen hundreds as they hang out openly by certain street corners and markets.

Exactly. The people of Moorepark, and of Ventura County already pay for exactly the sort of law enforcement services that the city is trying to double-charge for in this case.

From the city web page, it looks like Mary Lindley would report to the city manager, Steven Keuny. I'm sure Steve would appreciate polite e-mails at: skeuny@ci.moorepark.ca.us.
The city's web page is at:

What do other cities charge to hold a citizens' meeting in their halls?

Those pictures of the Open Borders Lobby at Carlsbad seem to act like "Off!" in keeping our own OBLs away from a thread.

Sort of like Holy Water and Satan.
