Well, it depends on how you define "Republican". If you mean a conservative Republican, the answer is a loud no. If, on the other hand, you mean the GOP Big Tent with its RINOs, liberals and moderates, then, yes, Strayhorn is a Republican.

The one aspect of all this I find most bizarre is that the "stupid party" (hispandering GOP Big Tent full of RINOs, liberals and moderates) is either unaware they have pretty much lost their conservative base, or are aware of that, but don't consider it important because they expect to pick up that 30% - 35% through increased hispandering plus attracting more of those wonderful middle-of-the-roaders ("moderates" who stand for nothing).

Loyal American conservatives, at least the ones I know about, have given up on the GOP because it no longer has an agenda that is even remotely conservative. For the first time, I am hearing people say "no more voting for the least worst".
